Although New Orleans is getting pounded pretty hard, it looks like the Mississippi Gulf Coast is going to take the brunt of the storm. Reports talk about 10 feet of water in downtown Gulfport, MS. There are also holes torn in the roof of the Superdome. My parents are far enough inland (Tuscaloosa, AL) that they will probably only get a good soaking, but tornadoes are always a danger in these situations. Continue to hope for the best.
