Are these ladies clerks, lawyers, or clerical? Whatever they are, it was nice of them to go with you. And it was nice that Melissa got to go, also. Too bad she's a Cardinal fan. She can't be a mean, I-really-hate-the-Cubs fan, can she? That's Harry's job.--mombo
Carlis and Segrid are Court Clerks, which is different from what I am (Law Clerk). Court Clerks actually sit in the courtroom while the judge is on the bench and handle all the scheduling, make notations of what needs to be done with each case, etc. Segrid and Carlis are the Court Clerks for the Department that I work in, and it was very nice of them to come for the Ceremony. As for Melissa, she's really more of a hockey fan than anything else; I don't think she hates the Cubbies.
Hockey??? Too bad it doesn't exist anymore on the professional level. I don't miss it though; I always thought it was too violent.
